You are surely aware that, during the last year, Nordö-Link experienced several changes. As part of a wider fleet re-organisation within the Finnlines Group, the two Star Class vessels previously deployed on Nordö-Link were diverted to open a new trade between Germany, Poland and Finland. At the same time, with decreasing volumes between Germany and Sweden due to the global crisis, up to 30% if compared to the previous year 2008, vessels more suitable for the route and the market needs have been deployed: the mv Finneagle, mv Finnpartner and mv Finntrader, that now are still serving the 9-hour route with three departures a day from both the ports of Malmö and Travemünde.

In addition, even in order to regain and improve the sustainability of the service, the company has been forced to implement a new freight policy for the year 2010, where a necessary upward review will be considered. We are confident you will understand why such decision had to be taken and we would also kindly ask you to contact us in case you need further information.
